The Gerald T. Kuwada, DPM Memorial Lectureship Fund
Dr. Gerald T. Kuwada—a podiatric physician and surgeon practicing in Renton,Washington—was a thought-leader, educator, mentor and on the Board of Directors of the International Foot & Ankle Foundation since its inception. He was a beloved leader widely respected by his peers as being a very kind and benevolent man who loved people, music, art, poetry, his family and his profession.
Dr. Kuwada passed away on June 15, 2018. To honor his memory, IFAF has established a lectureship fund in his name. The Gerald T. Kuwada, DPM, Memorial Lectureship will fund a guest speaker to lecture to attendings, residents and students at the Annual Seattle Summer Seminar on new and innovative surgical procedures, equipment and techniques and updates of foot and ankle surgeries. It will also provide a monetary award for the best lecture presentation given by a resident at the conference.
The Lectureship Fund will contribute to current and future generations of podiatric physicians and provide the opportunity to transform them into leaders and exceptional doctors in Dr. Kuwada’s honor. Please partner with us by making a gift to The Gerald T. Kuwada, DPM, Memorial Lectureship.
